BERLIN – The German government has announced a major financial commitment exceeding one hundred million euros to support reconstruction efforts in the Gaza Strip. The exact sum is still under discussion but is expected to reach a figure in the “three-digit millions,” according to a statement made on national television.
In a related development, officials also indicated that Berlin is preparing to reassess its current restrictions on arms exports to Israel. This follows earlier statements made during the summer regarding concerns over how such equipment might be utilized in the region.
