In a social media statement, Trump emphasized that this represents the final opportunity for a negotiated settlement.
The American leader characterized Hamas as a long-standing threat to regional stability in the Middle East. He further asserted that the majority of remaining Hamas fighters in Gaza are now effectively surrounded and cut off from escape routes.
The statement also included an appeal to Palestinian civilians, urging them to evacuate from areas of Gaza that remain vulnerable to continued military operations.
