The United States has formally pledged to defend the security and territorial integrity of Qatar under a new executive order signed by President Donald Trump.
The directive states that Washington will respond to any armed attack targeting Qatari territory, sovereignty, or critical national infrastructure, viewing such actions as a threat to U.S. peace and security. In the event of an attack, the U.S. commits to employing all appropriate measures—including diplomatic, economic, and, if necessary, military means—to protect the interests of both nations.
The agreement underscores the strategic partnership between the two countries and reinforces American engagement in ensuring stability in the region.
