Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has extended congratulations to Moldova’s President Maya Sandu following the outcome of recent parliamentary elections in the Eastern European nation.
In a social media statement, Pashinyan expressed his warm wishes to both President Sandu and the Moldovan people, acknowledging the electoral results and what he described as the country’s advancement toward European integration.
Preliminary election returns indicate a significant victory for the pro-European Action and Solidarity Party, which secured approximately half of the popular vote. A competing political bloc identified as pro-Armenian received support from nearly a quarter of the electorate.
The election outcome is seen as reinforcing Moldova’s political orientation toward European institutions, marking another milestone in the country’s foreign policy direction.
