ARMENIA AND FRANCE DEEPEN STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP DURING HIGH-LEVEL TALKS

YEREVAN – Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Vahan Kostanyan met with senior French diplomatic officials in Paris to discuss strengthening bilateral relations and advancing Armenia’s European integration path.

During the meeting, both sides expressed satisfaction with the current high-level political dialogue between their countries and explored opportunities to expand cooperation. The discussions emphasized the strategic importance of the Armenia-France partnership and upcoming joint initiatives.

Kostanyan detailed the Armenian government’s recent measures to enhance cooperation with the European Union, following the adoption of legislation supporting deeper European integration. The officials also addressed Armenia’s upcoming hosting of the European Political Community summit in 2026.

Regional security matters featured prominently in the talks, with Kostanyan briefing his counterparts on recent developments in Armenia-Azerbaijan normalization efforts and Yerevan’s vision for establishing lasting peace in the region.

The meeting concluded with an exchange of views on current international and regional issues of mutual concern.
